Any individual can apply for Medical Exemption certificate for window tinting laws due to specific medical conditions. Every state has specified certain medical conditions which make driver or vehicle owner eligible to get the medical exemption certificate. The application for medical tint waiver should be certified by the licensed doctor or physician practicing in the state.
Medical Tint waiver allows to install lower tints than the allowed VLT percentage on the vehicle windows but the tint Percentage for every state differs. However non-reflective window tinting or sun screening materials with higher luminous reflectance is restricted in almost all US states. Reflective tinting materials produces glare when sunlight falls on reflective sun screening materials and it causes inconvenience for other drivers on the road.
