Medical Exemption
According to Indiana Code Title 9. Motor Vehicles ยง 9-19-19-4 , Indiana State law allows medical exemption for vehicle owned by an individual or habitual passenger, who needs to be shielded from direct sun rays.
Exemption application due to the medical reasons must be attested to by a physician, dermatologist or optometrist licensed to practice in Indiana. The certificate from the doctor must be renewed annually.
